How Do We Make Community Theatre?

How Do We Make Community Theatre? is a roundtable bringing together artists, researchers, and practitioners from various fields to explore the methods, challenges, and opportunities of community theatre. The discussion was moderated by Réka Fazakas, with invited guests including Luci Lakatos, Csongor Köllő, Levente Imecs-Magdó, Dragoș Selma, Miki Braniște, and Gyöngyvér Kudor. Participants shared personal experiences and examples of practices through which theatre becomes a tool for inclusion, strengthening collective identity, and fostering dialogue between communities and artists.
The roundtable sought to answer questions such as: How is an authentic relationship between creators and the community built? What role does the active participation of the audience play in the artistic process? How can community theatre contribute to social change? The event provided an open space for reflection and exchange of ideas, where the audience also had the opportunity to express their thoughts and questions.

Presentation of ICT Methodologies

Presentation of ICT Methodologies was a discussion dedicated to presenting two methodologies developed within the Inclusive Community Theatre Project. The first are the methods used by the Hungarian team, offering insight into how young Roma participants were integrated into the artistic process through community theatre practices. The second reflects the experience of the Italian team, presenting the tools and approaches through which they managed to create a performance based on participation and inclusion. The meeting, moderated by Apollónia Bilibok, aimed to highlight the similarities and differences between the two working contexts, to shed light on the diversity of community theatre practices at an international level, and to offer participants the opportunity to discover concrete methods that can be applied in future projects.
