KARAVANACT 2016
The second edition of the festival took place between 26th September and 5th October 2016, and saw an increased number of groups and performances. Owing to the great influence we got from Polish theatre and to our ties with several organisations in Poland, it was an honour for us to invite two performances of Pracownia Rosa (Study Rosa) from Poznań. Next to Rosa, in the artistic programme, there were also an independent dancer, Rita Góbi from Hungary, Shoshin Theatre Association’s two own productions (one is a premiere) and a production of the 3rd year acting students from the Faculty of Theatre and Television, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca.
In the festival of 2016, we also featured a novelty: in each city visited, there were workshops organised for local youth, as well as a workshop held throughout the event, aimed at the acting students accompanying the festival. This important new line of action is in tune with the Association’s philosophy regarding the inclusion and activation of different communities, as well as its mission to expand the possibilities in the domain of acting.
